The English Theatre of Hamburg
Germany’s oldest professional English Theatre invites you to enjoy one of their evening or daytime performances of an English language play. The theatre’s international audience includes students of English as well as native speakers. They present distinguished plays of all genres in the original English on a professional basis in their efforts to contribute to international communication through language and the art of the theatre.
The English Theatre is situated in the Hammonia Bad building in Uhlenhorst (built by Carl Feindt, 1926-28). There are
sculptures inside by Richard Kuöhl, who also designed the warriors’ monument near Dammtor.
