Charlie Chaplin’s Swiss Home to Become a Museum
Three of Charlie Chaplin’s eight children have announced their partnership in a new museum, “Chaplin’s World,” located in an 18th-century mansion on a 35-acre estate in Corsier-sur-Vevey. The home above the shores of Lake Geneva was where Chaplin lived the last 25 years of his life, following McCarthy-era accusations that he was a Communist.
The museum is scheduled to open in 2016.
